The Islamic Association of Collin County (IACC) has a rich history dating back to 1991 when it was first established. Initially starting in a small facility on the third floor of a shopping center, accommodating up to 50 individuals for prayers, the community experienced rapid growth. By 1995, the membership had exceeded 1,000 families, leading to the leasing of a new facility at Parker/Custer to better serve the community's needs.
In 1997, with a vision for future development, the IACC strategic planning committee spearheaded the construction of a new community center. Acquiring a significant 4.59-acre land at Spring Creek and Independence Parkway, the IACC successfully raised over 2.0 million in funds to support the construction of a spacious 12,000 sq. ft. community center.
The Islamic Association of Collin County (IACC) provides a vital hub for Islamic activities, offering services such as prayers, Islamic lessons (Halaqa), Sunday School, Summer School, marriage services, and Quranic and Arabic teachings.
Located at 6401 Independence Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023, the IACC serves as a cornerstone for religious and community activities in the area.
